The Orion Saga - Starting here

This is the start of my own little Forum-fic, the Orion saga. It's NOT to opt Net in any way (which would be virtually impossible), and IIRC he even dared me to do it once, in a place and channel far far away, before Wars consumed all and everything...

Some people might know that the Orion Saga originally was a LARP I've been part of orchestering for a decade or so, a LARP running continually for so far 11 seasons and set in lands of Orion, a land and LARP with a full background and quite a lot of history, some having been developed throughout the years during the game and made canon, the rest being some still residing in the back of my head. Actually, in my head is where most of the world and history still resides, and I want it OUT!
... and thats what I will do now by start writing a story taking place in the lands of Orion, outside the spheres of the annual LARP!

... oh yes, and I actually wanted to get into the groove with writing fics again, it has been so long... 

So, to start the story I would like some interaction from those that may or may not are going to read it... YOU!

To keep with the traditions, mostly imposed by Net, I would like some characters to play around with... good, evil, neutral... whatever you can come up with.

The world of Orion is basically what you would consider High Fantasy... magic, monsters, Gods etc... and basically, deep down, based on the basic characters from most RP-settings, except that there are quite a lot of changes which I will address shortly.

So.. you can wait for the details to be added, or just starting by submitting a character... questions can be asked at your leisure

Race (Human, Halforc, Elven, Halfling, Dwarf... or? ask me)
Appearence (the more, the better)
Basic Profession (what describes the character best... warrior, rogue, wizard, priest... whatever labels you can put on him/her/it).
Skills & Abilities (everything the character is capable of, at aprox level of experience (not measured by anny RP-like rules)
Weapons (favorite... minor magical included)
Equipment (whatever the character might carry around)
Background (as much as your want, the more the better)


Write it up and submit it, and I'll see to fit it into the planned stories... just remember, from the point of submitting, the characters ways can lead to love, heroism, pain or... usually... a quick death, all at my jurisdiction!!

oooOOOOoooo… a chance to pull out characters I haven’t used in over 10 years!

Race (Human, Halforc, Elven, Halfling, Dwarf... or? ask me)  Elf
Appearence Elka is a typical Tolkien Elf in appearances- tall, thin, straight silk like hair.  Thin long nose, elegant features.. only problem is… she’s extremely boyish in behavior and even though she has a chest.. she’s often confused as a boy because of her manner.
Basic Profession She’s a magic user turned warrior.  Didn’t do too great at hitting the books like her parents wanted and expected her to do.  She instead was a tom boy and liked to hit boys with sticks.  While she can perform small easy spells, she doesn’t have the mental concentration for the larger ones.  She’d rather hit it with a stick than spend a minute or two trying to remember a spell for it.
Skills & Abilities Elka can ride horses, has been trained in bow, staff, sword and shield.  She avoids large mass weapons because she doesn’t have the arm strength for them.  She’s not very clever at group tactics or planning.  It’s not like she’s going to lead a battalion to victory anyway.
Weapons (favorite... minor magical included)  light sword and shield, small spells for blinding the enemy, stink bombs.. things that humans might consider prank spells.
Equipment (whatever the character might carry around)  horse, saddle, saddle bags filled with spare clothing, cloak, blanket, kitchen supplies, dried foods, beans and nuts.  She has a book or two.. nothing deep reading.  She’s not a terribly spiritual thing either or superstitious. Never developed a love for religious books or writings.
Background (as much as your want, the more the better)  Elka has a sense of humor (or a lack there of by human standards…but for an Elf she’s damn funny).  She does like pranks and a good laugh.. likes to drink and drive (her horse).  Adores a challenge or a bet… even if she’s the loser.  If a guy remarks on her dashingly handsome looks, she’s liable to punch them in the shoulder and laugh.. then put on a dress and punch them again later with a lot of laughing.  Over all, she’s a jovial sort for her race.
   Elka has a soft spot for kittens and small animals… and if you look closely.. those books she’s reading are romance novels. Don’t let her fool you, she’s a romantic at heart.  Pure sap under that dust covered warrior crust.
